Liquid Point – A New Infrastructure for Selling Liquid Products Without Single-Use Packaging

Liquid Point is a modular system for the automated sale and distribution of liquid products in reusable packaging.

The system connects producers, retail locations and consumers through a new supply model: liquid products no longer need to be packaged in millions of single-use bottles, caps, labels and films. Instead, they can be delivered in tanks, stored at retail locations and dispensed directly through smart refill microstations.

Liquid Point enables water, juices, functional beverages, milk, detergents, shampoos and other liquid products to be available 24 hours a day — without additional staff, without conventional packaging and with significantly simpler logistics.

Factory → Tanker → Retail Tank → Refill Microstation → Reusable Bottle

This is not only an ecological alternative.
It is a new retail infrastructure for the post-packaging era.

Liquid Products. No Single-Use Packaging. Available 24/7.

Instead of filling products into single-use bottles, liquids are delivered in stainless-steel tanks and dispensed directly through digital microstations into reusable bottles.

– Less packaging.
– Less logistics.
– Lower operating costs.
– New sales beyond regular opening hours.
– Full digital control of the system.

Liquid Point transforms refill from a manual service into industrial infrastructure.

How the System Works

Liquid Point consists of four core elements.

1. Production Without Single-Use Bottles

The producer prepares the product as usual, but without the need to fill it into individual single-use bottles. Instead, the liquid is delivered in larger controlled logistics units: food-grade products in sanitary stainless-steel tankers, similar to those used in the dairy industry, and detergents, shampoos and other non-food products in certified industrial containers, chemical drums or IBC containers.

This removes the need for single-use bottles, caps, labels, secondary packaging, pallet films, storage of empty packaging and many logistics operations related to conventional packaged goods.

2. Digitally Controlled Transport

Each transport cycle can be connected to a digital record: producer, product, batch number, quantity, temperature, filling time, delivery time and cleaning status of the system.

The goal is to make every liter traceable, verifiable and safe.

3. Retail Storage Tanks

At the retail location, products are stored in separate stainless-steel tanks. Each product has its own line, monitoring system and flow control.

The system can be installed modularly — from smaller installations with a few products to large-scale systems for shopping centers and high-traffic retail locations.

4. Automated Refill Microstation

The Liquid Point microstation works as a smart dispenser for liquid products.

The customer arrives with a reusable bottle, selects the product, quantity and payment method. The system verifies the bottle, dispenses the exact amount and records the transaction.

The microstation can operate without staff, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Why Liquid Point?

The Problem Can No Longer Be Ignored

Conventional distribution of liquid products depends on enormous quantities of single-use packaging. Before a product reaches the consumer, a bottle, cap, label, secondary packaging, transport packaging and pallet film often need to be produced.

After a very short period of use, most of this packaging becomes waste.

At the same time, retailers and producers are facing new regulatory requirements, rising energy costs, pressure on margins and the need for more sustainable business models.

Liquid Point addresses these challenges with one integrated system.

The Solution

Liquid Point eliminates the need for single-use packaging by changing the distribution model itself.

Instead of selling a liquid product as a packaged item, Liquid Point treats it as a service delivered through smart infrastructure.

The customer no longer pays for packaging that will be thrown away.
The producer no longer needs to manufacture, store and transport millions of individual packages.
The retailer gains a new sales channel that can operate beyond regular opening hours.

For Retailers

A New Sales Channel That Works Even When the Store Is Closed

Liquid Point enables shopping centers and retail chains to introduce an automated refill system for liquid products without the need for additional sales staff.

The system can operate during the day, at night, on Sundays, on holidays and outside regular store hours.

For retailers, this creates a new revenue category: sales infrastructure that increases product availability, reduces pressure on shelf space and introduces a new service for customers.

For Producers

Less Packaging. Simpler Logistics. Stronger Brand Position.

Producers of liquid products currently invest a significant part of their costs in packaging, packing operations, warehousing and transport of finished goods.

Liquid Point enables products to be distributed without single-use packaging, directly into a refill system.

This reduces dependency on packaging suppliers, simplifies the supply chain and strengthens the producer’s sustainable market position.

For Customers

Pay for the Product, Not the Packaging

Liquid Point allows customers to buy the exact amount of product they need, using their own reusable bottle or a certified Liquid Point bottle.

Customers can buy half a liter, one liter, two liters or another available quantity — without creating single-use packaging waste.

The process is simple: choose the product, place the bottle, pay and refill.

Technology

Industrial Refill Infrastructure, Not Just a Vending Machine

Liquid Point is not a conventional vending machine. It is a system that connects hardware, software, tanks, sensors, payments, monitoring, traceability, hygiene and logistics.

The system is designed as a modular platform that can be adapted to different categories of liquid products and different retail locations.

Sustainability

The Best Packaging Is the One That Does Not Need to Be Produced Again and Again

Recycling is important, but it does not solve the core problem if new packaging still has to be produced for every purchase.

Liquid Point goes one step earlier: it reduces the need to produce single-use packaging in the first place.

Instead of the model “produce – fill – transport – consume – discard – recycle”, Liquid Point introduces the model “produce – deliver – dispense – reuse”.

This means less material, less transport volume, less waste and greater potential for a truly circular economy.

Pilot Program

The Next Step: A Real Retail Location

Liquid Point is looking for partners for a pilot project in a real retail environment.

The purpose of the pilot is to test technical functionality, user experience, consumer behavior, supply logistics, hygiene protocols, maintenance, the business model and sales performance.

The pilot should not only prove that the technology works.
It should prove that a new purchasing model can become commercially viable.

One microstation (ATM) can be connected to 20 reservoirs

Liquid Point stands at the intersection of two megatrends:

– Sustainability and the circular economy
– Automation and 24/7 retail availability

It is not just a product, but a response to changing consumer expectations and new regulatory requirements.

A functional dispenser prototype, including integrated software, has been successfully developed.

Liquid Point develops six core solution blocks to optimize liquid management and safety: Data Collection, Tank Monitoring, Reservoir & CIP Systems, Liquid ATM / Refill Stations, Lightweight RFID-Enabled Bottles, and the Secure Liquid Transport & Authentication System – LIQUID POINT TRANSFER PROTOCOL, ensuring reliable, trackable, and authenticated liquid transfers

1. Data Collection System – LIQUID POINT

IoT-enabled platform for real-time sales monitoring, customer behavior analytics, and data-driven marketing insights.

2. Tank Monitoring System – LIQUID POINT

RFID and sensor-based monitoring of liquid levels, temperature, pressure, flow, quality, and maintenance alerts. Ensures optimized refill cycles, product safety, and predictive maintenance.

3. Reservoir & CIP System Development

Design and implementation of reservoir systems with Clean-In-Place (CIP) capabilities, suitable for end-supplier facilities or retail locations for hygienic and automated operations.

4. Liquid ATM / H2-Oh da Refill Stations
