Liquid Point is the first fully automated refill system for unpackaged liquids in shopping centres – from beverages to non-food products. The system works like an ATM for liquids: simple, fast, and available 24/7, entirely without staff.
Our mission is to complement the existing sales system with automated, staff-free infrastructure that unlocks sales beyond standard operating hours – at night, on Sundays, and during holidays. We expand availability from 4,650 hours to 8,760 hours annually – 24/7, 365 days – creating new revenue streams for retailers and producers without additional labor costs.”

Why this matters

The European Union has adopted Regulation (EU) 2025/40, requiring beverage producers and distributors to:

  • From 1 January 2030, final distributors with a sales area of more than 400 m² shall be required to dedicate 10 % of that sales area to refill stations for both food and non-food products.¹

Financial validation

Liquid Point already benefits from strong European Union support. The EU LIFE program offers up to 75% non-dilutive funding for projects of up to €10 million, which would be sufficient to implement our first large-scale retail installation. While this represents a significant opportunity, we have not utilized this funding due to the requirement for 25% co-financing. We are currently exploring partnerships with investors or retail centers to provide this co-financing, which would enable us to fully leverage the program, and equip the first center in the world with this technology.

The availability of such support underscores the strong potential of the project, reduces investment risk, and lays the foundation for accelerated growth and future international expansion.

1. Data Collection System – LIQUID POINT

IoT-enabled platform for real-time sales monitoring, customer behavior analytics, and data-driven marketing insights.

2. Tank Monitoring System – LIQUID POINT

RFID and sensor-based monitoring of liquid levels, temperature, pressure, flow, quality, and maintenance alerts. Ensures optimized refill cycles, product safety, and predictive maintenance.

3. Reservoir & CIP System Development

Design and implementation of reservoir systems with Clean-In-Place (CIP) capabilities, suitable for end-supplier facilities or retail locations for hygienic and automated operations.

4. Liquid ATM / H2-Oh da Refill Stations

Bottle filling stations located outdoors or near entrances, accessible 24/7.

5. Lightweight RFID-Enabled Bottles

Development of lightweight, durable steel or titanium bottles with embedded RFID chips for seamless tracking, automated refill authentication, and integration into smart dispensing ecosystems.

6. Secure Liquid Transport & Authentication System – LIQUID POINT TRANSFER PROTOCOL

Development of a standardized protocol for safe beverage transport from factory reservoirs (inox 304) to retail storage tanks via tanker trucks (inox 304). The system integrates RFID authentication, digital transport tokens, and IoT monitoring to ensure full traceability and prevent incorrect filling. Automated verification enables pumping only after successful validation, supported by keyed couplings, color-coded connections, and recorded CIP cleaning cycles.
